Dr. Chris Welsh
My name is Chris Welsh and I am a chiropractor that graduated from Logan University. While growing up, I developed a passion for holistic health and grew that passion during years of schooling to focus on addressing the root cause of sickness. My father worked as a paramedic, but started utilizing herbal medicine for our family instead of going the traditional route. From there, we had many long conversations about the state of healthcare and how to keep ourselves healthy in an increasingly unhealthy world.
As a child, I loved sports: football, rugby, soccer, baseball, etc… You name it, I was playing it. This resulted in a ton of sports injuries that I went to a chiropractor to treat. During that time, they utilized a technique called Applied Kinesiology, which utilizes muscles to determine the problem in the body. The introduction to this technique specifically led me down the path I was happily going to be walking down for the rest of my life.
When I got to Logan and learned there was a club for Applied Kinesiology, I was hooked from then on. Every year I attended university, I spent hours every week learning, studying, and practicing Applied Kinesiology. This allowed me to meet the three “greats” that guided me into how I practice today: Dr. Scott Huff, Dr. Corey Osborne and Dr. Jeremy Schiermeyer. Thanks to all of them, I was able to hone my craft in so many different directions to better grasp how to evaluate the whole person, as well as every emotional, chemical, and structural issue that comes with.
My post-graduate education form Logan consists of hundreds of hours in formal training in Applied Kinesiology, NeuroEmotional technique, Quantum Neurology, Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatments, Functional Medicine, advanced Chiropractic adjusting and clinical nutrition.
